Story
IN THIS LESSON
Story, Text, History & Poetry
Are we ever able to live outside or without story? Can we ever "just" be? Not identify with our history (but still honor it), not acting from a story or feeling as a victim of our story? Is it ever possible to not be a storyteller of our owns lives or be trapped inside of a story? Is there a middle way?
Stories flavour our reality. Yet the flavor often hypnotizes us into an illusional world. Through history we tell the past, texts collect and describe concepts or information, but through story and poetry we add meaning, emotions and sensations - pour parts of ourselves into the worded web.
How can we use and choose this practice to our advantage?
